Alabama Election Results 2010: Griffith, Brooks, Davis and Sparks

Primary elections were held in Alabama on Tuesday June 1 and there were some surprises from the election results.

Parker Griffith lost his re-election bid to Madison County Commissioner Mo Brooks in a 51% to 33% vote and it is thought that Brooks is the one favored to win in this November election. He will be going up against Democrat Steve Raby.

When Parker Griffith switched parties to the Republican party last year it was thought that the move would help to boost votes, but as the election results 2010 show, this was not to be the case.

In the Gubernatorial primary, Democrat Artur Davis lost by what many thought was a wide margin to Ron Sparks. The final results were 62% to 38%, which means that Davis lost by 80,000 votes.
